OREGON — Joyce Elaine (Camplain ) Smith life long resident of Oregon passed away Wednesday July 3rd 2024 at the age of 83. Joyce was born November 15th 1940 to Willis “Buck” Camplain and Margaret (Black) Camplain. She was one of ten siblings.
Joyce was an avid reader, expert at crocheting making doll dresses, afghans and baby blankets. She was Mostly known for her hanging kitchen towel sets she made year after year for the Camplain family reunions she also was a talented painter of wooden lawn ornaments. She worked many years at Siegs auto parts in Oregon Il and Auto Zone in Rochelle as a parts specialist. She loved spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her sons Jerry (Sharon Taylor) Spratt of South Carolina, Jeff (Marla) Spratt of Chana IL and Roy (Dorothy) Spratt of Polo IL.15 Grandchildren 23 Great Grandchilren and 4 Great Great Grandchildren. Sisters Rebecca “Becky” Braden, Phillis Roe, and Debbie (Duane) Zobrist. Brothers Bob Camplain and Bill (Donna) Camplain Sister in laws Thelma Camplain Judy Camplain and Vicki Camplain brother in law Everette Eckert. Many nieces and nephews.
Proceeded in death by her Son Edward “Eddie” Spratt and Granddaughter Shawna Spratt husbands Willis Bolhous and Donald “Smitty” Smith. Brothers Roger, John, and Norman Camplain Sister Louise Eckert. Brother in laws Harold Braden & Jack Roe. Sister in law Daisey Camplain.
Celebration of Life will be held at the VFW in Oregon starting at noon on Saturday August 3rd 2024
