APACHE JUNCTION, Ariz. — Gary Lee Anspach, 67, of Apache Junction, AZ, formerly of Shannon, IL passed away on July 10th, 2024 at Lund Home Hospice in Gilbert, AZ with his children by his side after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Gary graduated in 1974 from Byron High School and then graduated from DeVry University. He retired from ComEd and enjoyed numerous hobbies including gardening, canning, bee keeping, car collecting, fishing with his son Kyle, and good friend Brent Nix of Byron, IL. The fishing trips these three men took together are too many to count, and the stories they have about them always make for good conversation. Gary is survived by his father Kenneth Anspach of Forreston, IL, son Kyler Anspach of Byron, IL, daughter Thera (Justin) Goff of Harmon, IL, grandson Trey Murbach of Byron, IL, granddaughter Harmony Murbach (Tyler Grant), and great-grandson Charlie Grant of Byron, IL. He is also survived by his siblings, sister Julie (Bob) Haskins of The Villages, FL, brother David (Mary) Anspach of LaValle, WI, sister Diane (Mark) Williams of Queen Creek, AZ, and many special nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother Margaret Anspach. A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM, Friday August 2, 2024 at the Ebenezer Reformed Church located at 2997 N. German Church Road, Oregon, IL with Pastor Randy Snider officiating.  Visitation will be prior to the service from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.  A memorial fund is established in Gary’s name for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.  Visit www.farrellhollandgale.com to leave a condolence or memory of Gary.
