Gary Victor Brueggeman

Gary Victor Brueggeman 73, of Pecatonica, died peacefully at home on Saturday, Nov. 9, 2019. 

Gary was born on April 25, 1946 in Norwalk, Wis. Gary was one of seven children raised on a dairy farm by his parents Louis and Mamie Brueggeman. Gary graduated from Brookwood High School in 1965.  He came to Rockford to seek work where he met the love of his life Ellen Dahlin. Gary and Ellen were married on March 23, 1968. They had three beautiful children: Paul (Stacy) Brueggeman of Valley Center, Kan., Dawn (Sean Wiley) Lemke of Byron and Jerry Brueggeman. 

Gary loved to drive trucks and farm. He had a collection of many International tractors.  He was a great fan of the Chicago Bears and the Chicago Cubs.He loved to spend time with his Grandchildren, Tyler and Alexis Brueggeman, Shaylie White and Mekenzie Lemke. 

He was predeceased by his parents Louis and Mamie, brothers, Gilbert and Eugene Brueggeman and son Jerry Victor Brueggeman. 

He is survived by his sisters Beverly Larson, Shelby (Paul) Fuenger, Lavonne Dennison and brother Ken (Sharon) Brueggeman.

Prayers were Saturday, Nov. 16, 2019 at 9:30 a.m., sharp at McCorkle Funeral Home – Countryman Chapel, 529 Washington St., Pecatonica, with a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Mary Catholic Church in Pecatonica.  Burial in North Burritt Cemetery. A visitation was held at the funeral home from 5-7:30 p.m. with the rosary to be recited at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15.
