DAVIS JUNCTION — Gayle J. Bennett, 75, of Davis Junction went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, July 20th, 2024, after a short illness. Gayle graduated from Stillman Valley High School in 1967, after which she received her Associate’s Degree. She was a lifelong member of Davis Junction United Methodist Church, a trustee on the Davis Junction village board for over 10 years, and worked for Swedish American Hospital for 40+ years. Gayle loved life, loved her family, and loved her Lord. She is survived by her siblings: Larry (Sheri) Townsend of Roscoe IL, Ida Mae Sprague of LaPorte CO, Peg (Scott) Conderman of LaValle WI, Nancy (Dana) Carr of Davis Junction IL, brother-in-law Gary Gentry of Rockford IL, sister-in-law Patty Bennett of Racine WI, and many nieces and nephews. Gayle is preceded in death by her father John Bennett, mother Harriett Bennett, sister Kathleen Gentry, and brother John Bennett. The celebration of life for Gayle will take place at Davis Junction United Methodist Church on Thursday, August 1st at 11 am. Prior to the service, there will be an hour for visitation, burial will be held privately at a future date.
