Harold W. Nance

OREGON – Harold W. Nance, 95, longtime Oregon resident, died Thursday, March 26, 2020 in Oregon Living & Rehabilitation Center. Born Dec. 16, 1924 in Peru, the son of Charles and Maud (Null) Nance.

Harold was a 1942 graduate of LaSalle-Peru High School and upon graduation, served his country for 2 ½ years in the Army Air Corp during World War II. Married to Alice Panscik May 22, 1948 in Sterling and would have celebrated their 72nd anniversary this year. He enjoyed his long career of 46 years working for the CB&Q and the Burlington-Northern Railroads. Harold was a member of the V.F.W. and Moose Lodge. He enjoyed traveling, music, reading and sports at all levels. Above all, he enjoyed being around his four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Surviving are his wife, Alice; and his three children: Michael (Julie), Steven (Cheryl) and Dawn. Preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a sister.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Farrell-Holland-Gale Funeral Home, Oregon, assisted the family with arrangements.
