OREGON – Lavonne Rogene Pearson, known to most as “Bonnie”, age 84, succumbed to Alzheimer’s on Jan. 20, 2019 in Redding, Calif. She was formerly of Oregon.
Bonnie was born Dec. 13, 1934 in Ogle County, the daughter of George E. and Hazel (Mathews) Jones. Bonnie had lived and worked most of her life in Ogle County. She married Edward C Pearson December of 1951 in Covington, Ind.
She is survived by one son, Edward “Zeke” (Margaret), Elizabeth of Arkansas; two daughters Charlene Mulligan of Eureka, Calif., and Denise (Don) Hays of Yerington, Nev., brother Charles (Pat) Jones of Oregon, and sister Shirley Mon of Oregon, three grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ed, and both parents.
Interment will take place at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 3 at the Grand Detour Cemetery with Pastor Luke Schier officiating. All who wish may attend the graveside service. Farrell-Holland-Gale Funeral Home in Oregon is assisting the family. Visit wwwlfarrellhollandgale.com to leave a condolence.
