FORRESTON – Marsdon Stukenberg, 83, of Forreston, passed away Friday, Dec. 3, 2021 at Rush University Hospital in Chicago. He was born Oct. 13, 1938 in Freeport, to Donald and Margaret (DeWall) Stukenberg.

On Nov. 1, 1958 he married Barbara Plum in Forreston. Barbara passed away Aug. 17, 2011. He was a member of Forreston United Methodist Church. Marsdon was a lifelong farmer on his family farm. He enjoyed dirt track racing, motorcycle trips with friends, camping, spending the winters in Florida with his camper, and spending time with family.

He is survived by his two sons Randy (Jen Graves) Stukenberg and Mike (Colleen) Stukenberg both of Forreston; five grandchildren Matthew (Maureen) Stukenberg of Arlington Heights, Jacob Stukenberg of College Station, Texas, Anna (Alex Wand) Stukenberg of Franklin, Tenn., Ryan (Lauren) Stukenberg of Breese, Ill., and Nathan (Kristyn Hannah) Stukenberg of Des Plaines; and four great-grandchildren Piper, Pax, Parker, and Pierce.

Preceding Marsdon in death are his parents, wife, and brother LaMoine.

Due to Covid private services will be held. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. A memorial has been established in Marsdon’s memory.
