Eddie Barbee, 36 of Paw Paw, was arrested on an outstanding Ogle County warrant for Theft Under $500. Barbee appeared in court and was given a reduced bond of $1,000/10 perc ent. Barbee was released after posting bond and will reappear in court on 12-17-18 at 2:30 p.m.
At approximately 11:29 p.m., Deputies initiated a traffic stop in the 3000 block of South Skare Rd. After further investigation, Benjamin Knowles, 33 of Stillman Valley, was placed under arrest for Driving While License Suspended. Knowles was also cited for Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle, Loud Exhaust, and Possession of Cannabis following a positive alert by the Ogle County K9. Knowles was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.
At approximately 3:14 p.m. Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a school bus vs semi accident in the 2700 block of West Illinois Route 72. A Moring Disposal semi tractor/trailer combination being driven by Christopher Wright, 41 of Freeport, was traveling westbound on Route 72 at which time it was side swiped by a Forrestville Valley School District school bus being driven by Donald Lowman, 65 of Byron. Minor injuries were reported. Deputies were assisted by Leaf River Fire and EMS. The accident remains under investigation.
Dec. 9
At approximately 1:47 p.m., Deputies initiated a traffic stop in the 1000 block of South Freeport Rd. After further investigation Maria Ayala, 28, of Clinton, Iowa was placed under arrest for Driving While License Suspended and No Valid Drivers License. Ayala was also cited for Operating an Uninsured motor Vehicle. Ayala was transported to the Ogle County Jail where she was held in lieu of bond.
Dec. 6
Jonathan Walkup, 45 of Freeport, was arrested for an outstanding Ogle County warrant for Driving While License Revoked. Walkup was released on a $1,000 recognizance bond and will appear in court on 01-17-19 at 9 a.m.
At 8:18 p.m., Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies along with Byron Fire/EMS were dispatched to IL Rt. 2 at Camling Rd. for a two vehicle crash. After an investigation, it was discovered that Andrea Arwood, 29 of Rockford, had crossed over the center line while traveling northbound on Rt. 2 after swerving to miss a deer. Arwood and the driver of the other vehicle were both transported to Rockford Memorial Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. Arwood was arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and she was released on a $3,000 I-bond.
At approximately 9:53 a.m., Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies performed a traffic stop at the intersection of Freeport Rd and IL Route 52. After investigation, Deputies placed Beverly Lewis, 40 of Dixon under arrest for a Lee County Contempt of Court warrant and Driving While License Suspended. Lewis was transported to the Ogle County Jail and held in lieu of bond.
Dec. 5
The following people were arrested for outstanding Ogle County warrants:
Faith Fargher, 51 of Rock Falls, for Failure to Appear. Fargher posted a $20 partial purge and will appear in court on 12-31-18 at 9 a.m.
Amber Keener, 34 of Rockford, for Failure to Appear. Keener was unable to post the bond of $3,253 and remains at the Ogle County Jail. Keener will appear in court on 12-07-18 at 9 a.m.
Tesia Grant-Henderson, 26 of Rockford, for Driving While License Suspended. Grant-Henderson was given a $1,000 recognizance bond and will appear in court on 01-14-19 at 10:45 a.m.
