OREGON – Oregon High School seniors Isabelle Nelson, Jasmine Herbst, and Makenna Mongan from the OHS Social Entrepreneurship program won 1st and 2nd place at the NIU Social Impact Summit Pitch with a Cause, a "Shark Tank" competition recognizing businesses that make a positive social or environmental impact.

Nelson won 1st place and $1500 for her company, Le Fou Gateau, a custom cupcake company with a goal to spread kindness by recognizing those who make an impact in the community every time someone places an order.

Herbst and Mongan's business, The Lotus Company, partnered with HOPE of Ogle County to raise awareness of domestic violence through an apparel line to help those in need.
