OREGON – Patricia A. Franklin, age 93, died Thursday, May 21, 2020 at Swedish American Hospital in Rockford. She was born Nov. 11, 1926 in Oregon, the daughter of Frank and Gladys (Whitney) Hilger.
She graduated from Mt. Morris High School in 1944. Patricia married John W. Franklin on July 27, 1946 in Mt. Morris. He preceded her in death in 1990. Pat was a member of the Oregon United Methodist Church. She loved to play cards with her friends, she loved to do painting in watercolor, and she enjoyed the many flowers she would plant every year. She and her husband John enjoyed many years with their friends at the Oregon County Club and wintering in Arizona.
Patricia was predeceased by her parents, her husband John W. Franklin, her son John B. “Jay” Franklin, and her sister Fran Glenn.
She is survived by her daughter Leslie (David) Sadowski of Cudahy, Wis., son Todd (Lori) Franklin of Camdenton, Mo., 7 grandchildren; Kate (Nate) Leach, Kyle (Shelley) Franklin, Chad (Amy) Sadowski, Scott (Jamie ) Sadowski, Andrew, Whitney, and Madeline Franklin, 10 great grandchildren; Jake, Luke, Victoria, Anna, Mac, Jackson, Madelynn, Clayton, Jack, and Connor.
