Patricia Ann Jeffrey of Fort Myers Beach, Fla., passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Monday, Aug. 23, 2021, following a long battle with cancer. She was 88 years old. Pat known as “Big Red” by family and friends was born in Galena, on May 22, 1933, the daughter of Emery and Harriet Wheeler.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband Wesley “Wick” Jeffrey in 2019. They were married for 67 years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and a role model for her children Scott Jeffrey, Ron Jeffrey, and Julie Tyler.
She left four grandchildren, Ryan (Melanie) Jeffrey, Kristen (Mike) Riffle, Greg (Mara) Tyler, and Susan (Steve) Hayward. 6 great grandchildren, Miles Jeffrey, Julian Tyler, Ryan Russell. Macie Riffle, Molly Riffle, and Warren Riffle.
She and her husband owned and operated Lake Louise in Byron for many years. She and Wick also vacationed in and eventually moved to Ft. Myers Beach Fla., and spent many happy years on their boat in the Gulf of Mexico with family and friends.
