Patricia Ann Lindstrom, age 53, passed away at Ingalls Memorial Hospital, Chicago, on April 10, 2021. She was born to Paul A. and Teresa A. (Terri) Lindstrom in Freeport, on April 24, 1967. She graduated from Leaf River High School in 1985.

Patty had suffered with epilepsy from the age of seven, but in 1991, after three years of extensive research and testing she became part of a group of candidates for experimental brain surgery to control seizures, at the Cleveland Clinic Hospital in Cleveland Ohio.

After she had her surgery, she became 90 percent seizure free and was able to start living an independent life.  She attended Highland Community College and worked at Amity Day Care.

At the time of her passing she was living in Midlothian Illinois.

She is survived by her parents Paul and Terri Lindstrom, extra special family of Prvt. Dominick, Marrissa (Luke), Karen, Keith and Jackie. Sister Mary (Daryl) Thrower, brother Paul D. (Tracie) Lindstrom, special friends Carrie and Kimmie. Nine nieces and nephews and eight great nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by paternal Grandparents Vernon and Betty Lindstrom; Elmer and Thelma Kaufman and maternal Grandparents Howard & Berniece Griffith, and niece Brianna Kelsey Lindstrom.

Due to Covid 19 a celebration of Life will occur later. Per her sister Mary’s request, in Patty’s memory, would you please be kind to a less fortunate and challenged individual.
