STILLMAN VALLEY – Roger J. Quick, age 69, died Sunday, Feb. 13, 2022 at his home in Stillman Valley. He was born July 14, 1952 in Rockford, the son of “Pete” Alvin and Adeline (Drummond) Quick. 

He graduated from Stillman Valley High School in 1971. Roger married Cindy Reimer on Sept. 1, 1979 in Lindenwood. He formerly worked for Kysor in Byron, Bergstrom in Rockford, and Micron in Winnebago. He was a member of the Kishwaukee Community Evangelical Presbyterian Church near Stillman Valley. His hobbies included fishing, golfing, listening to music, going to the shooting range, going to the drag strip, and watching NASCAR races. He enjoyed being with his family and especially cherished time with his grandchildren. He also loved telling stories and jokes and making people laugh. 

He was predeceased by his father “Pete” Alvin Quick. 

He is survived by his loving wife Cindy of Stillman Valley, his mother Adeline Quick of Rockford, daughters Stephanie Brodnick of Bloomington, and Lindsay Molitor (Cole Johnson) of Pecatonica, siblings Debra Fletcher (Todd) of Rochelle, Pamela Quick-Stangley (George) of Rochelle, Fred Quick of Mt Vernon, James “David” Quick (Cheri) of Jonesborough, Tenn., and Robert (Ginger) Quick of Holcomb, threegrandchildren Ellison Harper Brodnick, Lydia Lou Molitor, and Owen Roger Johnson, and many nieces and nephews. Also, a daughter Jessica (Tim) Schoenrock and granddaughter Oliva. 

Funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Monday, Feb. 21, 2022 at the Farrell-Holland-Gale Funeral Home, 136 W. Roosevelt Rd. in Stillman Valley, with the Pastor Harold Quick officiating.  Visitation will be held Sunday, Feb. 20, 2022 at the funeral home from 2-4 p.m. Private burial will take place at the Big Mound Cemetery near Davis Junction.
