EDWARDSVILLE – Scott Allen Ramage, 37, of Edwardsville, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2018, at 4:49 p.m., at Saint Louis University Hospital.
He was born on June 16, 1981, in Waukegan, the son of James A. (Sandi) Ramage of Naples, Fla., and Karen M. (Brian) Ramage of Leaf River. He married Sandy M. (Thomas) Ramage on June 26, 2004 in New Athens, Ill.
Scott was employed at Acropolis Technology in Clayton, Mo., as the VCIO for the past five years. He also served in the United States Air Force for six years as an air traffic controller. Scott was a member of Son’s of the American Revolution and in various pool leagues in the Riverbend and St. Louis areas. He was an amateur radio operator, call sign KC9I. Scott loved to tinker with technology and was a “MacGyver” at heart. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, pulling pranks on friends as well as spending time with his family and friends.
Along with his wife, Scott is survived by his daughter Wilhelmina “Willa” M. Ramage of Edwardsville; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Tim and Rose Thomas of New Athens; his siblings, Jenell (Stan) Bush of Byron, Robin (Jeff) Nottingham of Antioch, and Dale (Ron) Miller of Bristol, Wis.; brother-in-law, Daniel (Rachel) Thomas of Japan; and a sister-in-law, Denise (Phil) Bova of St. Louis, Mo.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, Dec. 22, 2018, from 4 pm to 7 pm at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto. Cremation rites will be accorded.
Memorials may be made to a Bright Start Education Fund in the name of Scott’s daughter, Willa Ramage.
