OREGON — Trudy Barrile, 92, of Oregon, IL passed away peacefully on July 22, 2024.
Born Gertrude Marion Lill on December 16, 1931 to Hildegarde and Erich Lill in Chicago, IL., she met and married the love of her life, Ronald H. Palenske in 1950 and together they raised 4 children. They truly lived a life of love, happiness, and unity for many years until Ron’s death in 1978. In 1985, Trudy was unity in marriage to Frank Barrile of Libertyville, IL. Together they traveled, golfed, bowled, and had many adventures including trips to French Lick, Indiana, New Orleans, and Florida until they sperated in 1993. Trudy stayed in the Chicago area until her granddaughters moved her to Oregon, IL for her retirement.
Trudy worked various jobs throughout her life, from factory work to sales to cleaning but her favorite one was simply being a housewife, mother, and grandmother. For years, her family would look forward to spending Christmas Eve at her house where she always made the season so special.
She was a celebrity aficionado, a royal watcher, and an animal lover. She spent many hours watching her favorite shows, reading her “gossip magazines”, and loved to visit with her family whether it be on the phone or in person. She truly took joy in each of her family members accomplishments often stopping passersby to introduce them to her visitors. She was so proud of each of them.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Erich and Hildegarde Lill, her husband Ron, her daughter Jan, and her son Ronnie.
She will be laid to rest next to the love of her life in a private ceremony in Chicago, IL.
