BYRON – Wanda Lee Ruggles, age 85, passed away at Swedish American Hospital on Wednesday March 27, 2019. She was born in Robinson, Kan., on April 12, 1933 the daughter of Elmer and Ruby (Merrick) Fitchett.
Wanda was an active member of Alcoholic’s Anonymous for 36 years.
She is survived by her children, Scott (Rose) Ruggles and Dena (Samuel) Jones; grandchildren, Sean Anderson and Adam Anderson; and great grandchild, Kayden Lee Anderson.
She is predeceased by her parents, and siblings Herbert Lee Ruggles, Marybelle Surgeon, and Lois Hubbard.
Funeral service was at noon on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at the Farrell-Holland-Gale Funeral Home, 506 W. Merchant St., Byron, IL 61010 with Pastor Janet Wold of All Saints Lutheran Church officiating. Visitation was prior to the service on Saturday from 11 a.m.-noon.
