BYRON – The Byron Forest Preserve District will be hosting a viewing of the annual Perseid Meteor Shower on Tuesday, Aug. 10, Wednesday, Aug. 11 and Thursday, Aug. 12 from 9 p.m. until midnight at their Weiskopf Observatory.
The observatory is located at 79932 North River Road in Byron.
Come out to the lawn of the Weiskopf Observatory and enjoy this annual meteor shower event. Bring lawn chairs and blankets and dress for the weather. Children must be with an adult. This event will be cancelled in case of cloudy skies.
