Jacqueline DeVries was the recipient of the Award of Distinction by the Rockford University Alumni Association at an All-Alumni Dinner and Awards Ceremony of Reunion on Friday, Oct. 4.
This award is given to an alumni for fulfilling the ideals of Rockford University and bringing honor and esteem to the University through their vision, dedication and initiative in a purposeful endeavor, by their responsive and sustained efforts in community improvements and/or by their notable achievements in a profession.
DeVries received her undergraduate degree at Rockford University, her graduate degree and then was asked to become an adjunct faculty member at the university. She taught for Rockford University in the Master of Arts in Teaching graduate program for over 20 years.
