Dennis Vineyard was arrested on an outstanding Ogle County warrant for Criminal Trespass to Residence. Vineyard was unable to post the $50,000/10 perc ent bond and will appear in court on 03/31/20 at 1 p.m.
At 6:48 p.m., Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies responded to the area of 200 E. Chicago Ave. in Davis Junction for a driving complaint. After a brief investigation Deputies arrested Curtis Palmer, 38 of Stillman Valley, for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. Palmer was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.
March 29
At 9:30 p.m. Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a one vehicle roll over crash on Meridian Rd near Brick Rd. Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies were not able to locate a driver at the scene of the crash. At 11:30 p.m. Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies were dispatched to a suspicious person at a residence south of the crash. After an investigation Prescott Piaz, 26 of Rockford was arrested for Driving While License Revoked and Criminal Damage of Property. Piaz was transported by Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies to the Rochelle Hospital to get treatment of injuries he sustained in the crash. Piaz was I Bonded on all charges and given a June court date.
At approximately 3:30 p.m., Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a residence in the Village of Davis Junction in regards to a domestic dispute. Following an investigation, Caylee Toepfer, 22 of Stillman Valley, was arrested for Domestic Battery. Toepfer was taken to the Ogle County Jail and held in lieu of bond.
March 25
At approximately 4:21 p.m., Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies initiated a traffic stop at the 1,200 block of East Pleasant Grove Road. The driver, Cory Sharp (age 50 from Harmon, IL) was arrested for Driving While License Suspended. Sharp was additionally issued a citation for Illegal Transportation of Alcohol. Sharp was released on an I-Bond and is required to appear in court at a later date.
At approximately 7:59 a.m. Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies responded to the intersection of IL Rte. 251 and Scott Road for a two vehicle accident with an injury. After arriving on scene, Deputies learned a gray Nissan Sentra driven by Jackson Cortez, 23 of Rockford was traveling southbound on IL Rte. 251. A white Mack Semi with a tractor trailer was driven by Robert Rutledge, 55 of Poplar Grove. Rutledge had just approached the stop intersection on Scott Road traveling eastbound before he began to turn northbound on IL Rte. 251 in front of Cortez in the foggy conditions. Cortez was unable to avoid the semi and struck the trailer at the intersection before coming to rest. Cortez was transported to OSF Hospital by New Milford EMS for minor injuries. Rutledge was issued a citation for Failure to Yield at a Stop Intersection.
