Oregon Police report 5-3-21

April 6

At 1:09 p.m., Oregon Police issued Meghan R. Kurzac, 28, Byron, a citation for disobeying a stop sign. This violation occurred in the 1100 block of Jefferson Street.

At 8:06 p.m., Oregon Police arrested Nathaniel C. Anderson, 22, Sterling, on an outstanding Lee County Failure to Appear warrant. Anderson was also issued a citation for possession of cannabis as a driver. Anderson was transported to the Ogle County jail. These violations occurred in the parking lot of Carnation Park.

April 7

At 12:14 p.m., Oregon Police arrested Nicholas R. Ellison, 28, Rockford, on an outstanding Ogle County warrant for possession of a stolen vehicle. Ellison was transported to the Ogle County jail.

At 3:43 p.m., Oregon Police responded to a disturbance call in the 200 block of N. 7th Street resulting in the arrest of Shauntez D. Coleman, 31, Oregon, for battery. Coleman was transported to the Ogle County Jail.

April 9

At 7:15 p.m., Oregon Police arrested Shane A. Imel, 28, Oregon, on an outstanding Whiteside County warrant. Imel was transported to the Ogle County jail.

At 7:59 p.m., Oregon Police arrested Martin Trejo, II, 37, of Machesney Park, IL, for driving under the influence of alcohol, possession of a controlled substance. Trejo was also issued citations for improper lane usage, failure to signal, and illegal transportation of alcohol as a driver. Trejo was transported to the Ogle County jail. These violations occurred at the intersection of Daysville Road and E. Washington Street.

At 10:09 p.m., Oregon Police arrested Jacob R. Elsbury, 23, Byron, for driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with blood alcohol content greater than .08%. Elsbury was issued citations for improper lane usage and illegal transportation as a driver. Elsbury was transported to the Ogle County jail. These violations occurred in the 800 block of S. 4th Street.

April 10

At 8:26 p.m., Oregon Police arrested Tanis J.H. Obrien, 21, Dixon, for improper cannabis container as a driver. Obrien was transported to the Ogle County jail. This violation occurred in the 100 block of N. 4th Street.

April 1

At 3:02 p.m., Oregon Police arrested Damonjio D.D. Acree, 19, of Mound City, IL, for improper cannabis container as a driver. Acree was also issued a citation for no front registration plate. Acree was transported to the Ogle County jail.

April 13

At 1:46 p.m., Oregon Police arrested Brian F. Hermes, 49, Franklin Grove, on an outstanding Lee County warrant for failure to appear. Hermes was transported to the Ogle County jail.

At 2:31 p.m., Oregon Police responded to a disturbance call in the 200 block of Madison Street resulting in the arrest of Dylan R. Pline, 26, Oregon, for battery. Pline was transported to the Ogle County jail.

April 15

At 6:50 a.m., Oregon Police took one 14-year-old female, Oregon, into limited custody for being a runaway. The juvenile was released into her parent’s custody with the report being referred to Juvenile Probation.

At 9:52 a.m., Oregon Police arrested Robert D. VanDyke, 40, Oregon, for domestic battery, which had occurred the previous day. VanDyke was transported to the Ogle County jail.

At 5:57 p.m., Oregon Police arrested Robert A. Judge, 45, Byron, on an outstanding Ogle County warrant for failure to appear on a DUI charge.

April 19

At 11:50 a.m., Oregon Police issued a city citation to a 15-year-old male juvenile of Oregon; and a city citation to a 14-year-old female juvenile of Mt. Morris, both for violating the city ordinance of possession of tobacco products and alternative nicotine products.

At 5:28 p.m., Oregon Police responded to a one-vehicle traffic crash on Hawk Drive where a 2017 Ford driven by Imagin E. Terlikowski, 16, Mt. Morris, struck the guard rail. Terlikowski was issued a citation for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

At 9:52 p.m., Oregon Police arrested Darryl W. Sargent, Jr., 32, San Antonio, TX, for driving while license suspended. Sargent was also charged with improper cannabis container as a driver. Sargent was transported to the Ogle County jail. These violations occurred in the 100 block of S. 4th Street.

April 21

At 7:59 a.m., Oregon Police investigated a two-vehicle traffic crash in the 1100 block of Jefferson Street involving a 2008 Infiniti driven by Justina R. Windham, 39, Oregon, and a 2014 Mercedes-Benz driven by Jamie L. Nobis, 38, Mt. Morris. No citations were issued.

April 22

At 8:27 p.m., Oregon Police responded to a car vs small animal traffic crash in the 200 block of E. Washington Street involving a 2011 Mitsubishi driven by Tegan L. Zshornack, 30, Oregon. No citations were issued.

April 25

At 12:2 p.m., Oregon Police issued Kelley M. Herwig, 29, Chana, a citation for disobeying a stop sign. This violation occurred at the S. 10th and Webster Street intersection.
