OREGON – Oregon Together was honored at the annual Illinois Conservation Foundation Gala Dinner in Springfield.

ICF Executive Director, Eric Schenck, recognized the amazing work Oregon Together has done to raise much needed funds for the restoration of the Black Hawk statue. He also thanked the Etnyre Family Foundation for their generous support of the project.

“All necessary funds for the statue restoration have been raised and contracts are being signed,” Schenck said. “Work will likely be done in the Spring and completed by Summer, 2019.”

“The generous support of the Oregon community has been crucial in the success of this project, it will be exciting to see the restoration completed,” said John Lindhorst.   “This is just the beginning. We will continue to work with the Illinois Conservation Foundation on plans and projects at the Black Hawk site. Oregon Together wants to keep the community involved. A community town meeting will be scheduled to discuss ideas for future designs and plans.”
