The following people were arrested on outstanding Ogle County warrants:

Ralph McCormick, 35 of Chana, for Failure to Report a Change of Address. McCormick went to court and was released on a $10,000 recognizance bond. McCormick was released from the Ogle County Jail and will appear in court on 12/18/19 at 10:30 a.m.

Jeremy Owens, 25 of Rockford, for Failure to Appear. Owens went to court and was released on a $1,000 recognizance bond. Owens was released from the Ogle County Jail and will appear in court on 12/30/19 at 9 a.m.

Melissa Speers, 34 of Oregon, for Failure to Appear. Speers went to court and was released on a $1,000 recognizance bond. Speers was released from the Ogle County Jail and will appear in court on 01/27/20 at 9 a.m.

At approximately 10:40 a.m., Deputies performed a traffic stop in the 6400 block of S. IL Rte. 2.  After investigation, Deputies placed Jesse Hetrick, 40, of Dixon, under arrest for Driving While License Revoked and a valid Livingston County FTA warrant for a DUI. Hetrick was additionally issued a citation for operating an uninsured vehicle. Hetrick was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond. 

Dec. 7

At approximately 1:48 a.m., Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 5000 block of N. IL Rte. 2. After the investigation, Tommie L. Hurst, 29 of Belleview Florida was placed under arrest for No Valid Driver's License and Obstructing a Peace Officer. Hurst was also issued citations for illegal transportation of alcohol and operation of a vehicle without proper lighting. Hurst was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he is held in lieu of bond.

Dec. 6

Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies arrested Tyleek Croft, 24, of Beloit for Driving While License Suspended. Croft was arrested by Deputies on Hwy 251 near Davis Junction after being stopped for speeding. Croft was held in lieu of bond at the Ogle County Jail.

Dec. 3

At 3:28 p.m. the Ogle County Sheriff’s Office, Byron Fire Department, and the Byron Ambulance responded to a one vehicle accident in front of 428 E. Rt. 72. a silver Toyota was eastbound on Rt. 72 when it left the north side of the road. The vehicle struck an embankment before travelling into a field and coming to a stop. The driver of the vehicle Barbara A. Kinner, 81 of Oregon was transported to Mercy Health by the Byron Ambulance with minor injuries. The accident remains under investigation.
