Jan. 7
At approximately 2:49 a.m., Ogle County Deputies dispatched to the area of E IL Rte 64 and Garnhart Road for the report of a single vehicle accident without injuries. After investigation, Deputies arrested Eric L. Francis, 27 of Oregon, for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and Unlawful Possession of Cannabis/Driver. Francis was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond. Francis was additionally cited for Improper Traffic Lane Usage, Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident, and Operating Uninsured Motor Vehicle.
At approximately 1:39 hours, Ogle County Deputies responded to Stillman Road and High Road in reference to a car in the ditch. Upon further investigation, Darrius Parker, 39 of Rockford, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. Parker was also cited for improper lane usage and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Parker was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.
Jan. 5
At approximately 3:10 p.m. Deputies responded to a car in the ditch at the intersection of Conger Road and Plum Hill Road. After further investigation Paul Bush, 43 of Dixon, was arrested for No Valid Drivers License. Paul was then released on an Individual Bond and was given a future court date.
Jan. 4
At 4:53 p.m., Ogle County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted a traffic stop on I-39 mile marker 112 for an equipment violation. After an investigation, Steven W. Crudup Jr., 32 of Rockford was arrested for driving on a revoked license. Crudup was also cited for improper cannabis container/driver, and illegal window tint. Crudup was transported to the Ogle County Jail and held in lieu of bond.
At approximately 9:49 p.m. Deputies responded to the 2300 block of 4th Street in Daysville in reference to a disturbance. After investigation, Deputies placed John Simmons, 43 of Polo under arrest for Resisting a Peace Officer, Criminal Damage to Property under $500, Disorderly Conduct, Lasalle County FTA warrant, and an Ogle County FTA warrant. Simmons was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond. Oregon PD assisted with the incident.
Jan. 3
At approximately 1:20 a.m., deputies were dispatched to 504 E 3rd Street in Leaf River for the report of a battery. After a brief investigation, Deputies arrested Nathaniel Banister, 18 of Leaf River, for Aggravated Battery. Banister was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held with no bond. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital with minor injuries.
At approximately 10:47 p.m. Deputies attempted to stop a vehicle in the 13000 block of West Illinois Rt 72. The vehicle eventually came to a stop near the intersection of Walnut Ave and Green St in Forreston. After further investigation a 17 year old juvenile from Leaf River was taken into custody for Aggravated Fleeing to Elude and No Valid Drivers License. The juvenile was additionally cited for Speeding 35 + mph, Obstructed Registration, Driving Without Headlights, and Possession of Cannabis. The juvenile was released to a parent will appear in Ogle County court at a later date.
At 10:44 p.m., deputies were dispatched to a disturbance in the 200 block of E. 3rd St. in Leaf River. During the investigation deputies arrested a 16-year-old juvenile for domestic battery and disorderly conduct. The juvenile was released into the custody of his parents.
Jan. 2
At approximately 6:13 p.m. Ogle County Deputies responded to the 14000 block for a report of a car in the south ditch. After investigation, Deputies arrested Kilian Atabong, 26 of Snellville, Ga., for driving while license suspended. Atabong was also issued citations for failure to reduce speed and improper lane usage. Atabong was given an I-Bond with a return court date later next month.
At approximately 9:18 p.m., Ogle County Deputies conducted a traffic stop at Freeport Road and White Oak Road. Upon further investigation, Michael Donald, 41 of Omaha, Neb., was arrested for Driving on a Revoked License. Donald was also cited for speed and released on a notice to appear.
At approximately 5:30 a.m., Deputies along with the Rochelle Fire/EMS Department were dispatched to a single vehicle accident on I-39 at mile marker 103. Upon further investigation it was learned Lilian Conley, 19 of Wisconsin, slid off of the roadway due to roadway conditions. Conley traveled approximately 100 yards before driving over a cement culvert and crashing into a ravine. Conley was transported to Rochelle Community Hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries.
At approximately 1:54 p.m. Deputies conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of E IL Route 64 and Chamberlain Road. Upon further investigation Thaddeus Stokes, 30 from Chicago, was arrested for No Valid Drivers License. Thaddeus was also cited for speeding and released on an Individual Bond.
