Feb. 8

At 12:30 a.m. Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies were dispatched to a car burglary in progress in Leaf River. A short time later Deputies stopped a suspicious vehicle in the area and later arrested the two occupants for criminal trespass to a motor vehicle. The two males arrested were Brody Stone, 22 of Oregon and Trei Sanders, 27 of Oregon.  Stone was also arrested for violation of an order of protection and cited for no valid driver's license and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Sanders was also cited for illegal transportation of alcohol. Both Stone and Sanders were being held in lieu of bond at the Ogle County Jail.

Feb. 7

At 3:14 p.m., Deputies conducted a traffic stop at 6th Ave and N 8th St, Rochelle. After a short investigation Deputies arrested Derrick E Perkins, 39 of Prophetstown for driving while license suspended and a Whiteside County warrant. Derrick was transported to Ogle County Jail. Perkins was also cited for No Front Registration, Operating Uninsured Motor Vehicle and Expired Registration.

Feb. 5

At approximately 10:43 p.m., Ogle County Deputies conducted a traffic stop on I39 near mile marker 99. After a brief investigation, Deputies arrested Tim Guldan, 57 of Hancock WI, for Driving While License Suspended. Guldan was also issued citations for Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle and Improper Lighting. Guldan was given an I-Bond with a return court date later next month and released on scene. 

At approximately 8:40 p.m., Ogle County Deputies responded to a single vehicle crash in the 1000 block of North Daysville Road. Upon arriving Deputies made contact with the driver and sole occupant, Vincent Digiovanni, 27 of Byron. Upon investigation, Deputies learned that Digiovanni was northbound when he entered the east ditch before striking a tree. Digiovanni was uninjured in the crash and was placed under arrest for improper cannabis container as a driver. Digiovanni was also cited for driving too fast for conditions and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Digiovanni was released on an I-Bond at the scene and given a future court date.  

At approximately 1:16 p.m. Deputies initiated a traffic stop near the intersection of Illinois Rt 72 and Mt Morris Rd.  After further investigation Jermaine Canada, 24 of Freeport, was placed under arrest for Driving While License Suspended. Canada was also cited for Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle and Expired Registration. Canada was released on an Individual Bond and will appear in Ogle County Courts at a later date.

At 1:47 p.m., Ogle County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to the Castle Rock Boat Launch (3100 S. IL Rt. 2), for a check welfare on a male subject slumped over the steering wheel of a parked vehicle. After  investigation , Daniel Sarot, 44 of Lombard, IL was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. Sarot was transported to the Ogle County jail, and held in lieu of bond. Sarot was also issued a citation for illegal transportation of alcohol.

Feb. 3

At 9:14 p.m., Deputies conducted a traffic stop at North Illinois Route 251 and Holcomb Road. After a brief investigation, Albert Stevenson of Rockford, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, Aggravated DUI, and driving while license revoked.  Stevenson also received citations for illegal transportation of alcohol, speeding and improper lane use. Stevenson was transported to Ogle County Jail where he was  held without bond.

Feb. 2

At approximately 0730 hours, Ogle County Deputies responded to a two vehicle crash near the intersection of IL Rte. 64 and Rocky Hollow Rd. After conducting an investigation, it was discovered that a Ford Explorer driven by Isabel Tapia-Flores, 33 of Mount Morris, was traveling eastbound on IL Rte 64 when she lost control and began sliding sideways. The Ford collided with the front end of a Jeep Liberty occupied by four juveniles. Tapia-Flores as well as two of the juveniles were transported to KSB hospital in Dixon where they were treated with non-life threatening injuries.  Tapia-Flores was later issued a citation for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

Feb. 1

At approximately 10:33 p.m., Ogle County Deputies conducted a traffic stop on I-39 at mile marker 102. After investigation, Deputies arrested Deshontee Dixon, 25 of Coal City, for Driving While License Suspended. Dixon was also issued citations for Illegal Window Tint and an Equipment Violation. Dixon was given an I-Bond with a return court date later next month and released on scene.

Jan. 31

At approximately 9:38 p.m. deputies responded to a motorist assist at the intersection of IL Rte. 72 and Pecatonica Road. After investigation, Deputies placed Richard Nelson, 44 of Mt. Morris under arrest for Driving While License Suspended. Nelson was released on an I-Bond at the scene and given a future court date.  

At approximately 9:11 p.m. Deputies initiated a traffic stop in the 6000 block of South Unity Rd. After further investigation Antwon Woodson, 29 of Polo, was placed under arrest for Driving While License Suspended. Woodson was also cited for Speeding, Expired Registration, and Improper Lighting . Woodson was released on an Individual Bond and will appear in court at a later date. 

Jan. 29

At approximately 10:28 p.m., Ogle County Deputies conducted a traffic stop at IL Rte 251 and Dutch Road.  After a brief investigation, Deputies arrested, Elijah D. Williams III, 35 of Rockford, for Driving While License Revoked and Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol.  Williams also had two outstanding Rockford arrest warrants for Domestic Battery and Failure to Appear for Resisting.  Williams was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was additionally charged with Aggravated DUI and held without bond. Williams was also cited for No Rear Registration Light.

At approximately 11 p.m., Ogle County Deputies located a car in the ditch in the 1000 block of N. IL Rte 2 in rural Oregon. After a brief investigation, Deputies arrested Trevor M. Moore, 23 of Oregon, for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. Moore was additionally cited for improper lane usage and transported to the the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond. 

Jan. 28

At approximately 1:26 a.m., Ogle County Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 3000 block of S. IL Rte 251. After a brief investigation, Deputies arrested Matthew Barfield, 19 of Rockford, for Driving While License Suspended. Barfield was also issued a citation for an equipment violation. Barfield was given an I-Bond with a return court date later next month and released on scene

Jan. 27

At 8:43 p.m., Ogle County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 4000 block of N. IL Rt. 2 for an equipment violation. After an investigation, Alexis Lueders age 19 of Bettendorf, IA was arrested for driving on a suspended license. Lueders was also issued citations for no valid registration, no registration light, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Lueders was released on a signature I-Bond with a return court date.
