At 5:37 p.m., Oregon Police issued Kelly S. Speaker, 23, Mt. Carroll, a citation for use of a cell phone while driving. This violation occurred in the 300 block of N. 5th Street.
Sept. 19
At 12:01 a.m., Oregon Police took one 17-year-old male juvenile into limited custody for violating the curfew ordinance. The juvenile was released into his parent’s custody with a referral to the State’s Attorney for juvenile delinquency. This violation occurred in the 400 block of Madison Street.
Sept. 22
At 5:13 p.m., Oregon Police arrested Benjamin A. Spotts, 40, Rock Falls, for driving under the influence of alcohol. Spotts was also issued a citation for improper lane usage. Spotts was transported to the Ogle County jail. These violations occurred in the 400 block of S. 5th Street.
10 parking citations and 9 verbal/written warnings were issued from 09/16/19 through 09/22/19.

At 7:54 a.m., Oregon Police issued Isabella Tranchina, 16, Oregon, a citation for use of a cell phone while driving. This violation occurred at the intersection of 10th and Jefferson Streets.
Sept. 24
At 5:02 a.m., Oregon Police issued Darrell J. Logan, 47, Mt. Morris, a citation for disobeying a traffic control device. This violation occurred at the intersection of 4th and Washington Streets.
At 2:54 p.m., Oregon Police issued Graeme A.F. Lints, 63, Oregon, a citation for operating an uninsured motor vehicle. This violation occurred at the intersection of W. Washington Street and Oregon Trail Road.
At 8:18 p.m., Oregon Police arrested Robert L. Swint, 41, Oregon, for violating orders of protection. Swint was transported to the Ogle County jail. This violation occurred in the 100 block of N. 5th Street.
Sept. 25
At 8:56 p.m., Oregon Police arrested Shelly M. Jones, 48, of Whitewater, Wis., for driving while license revoked. A passenger in Jones’ vehicle, William L. Jones, 53, also of Whitewater, WI, was issued a civil citation for possession of cannabis less than 10 grams. Shelly Jones was transported to the Ogle County jail. These violations occurred in the 1500 block of N. IL Route 2.
Sept. 26
At 12:09 a.m., Oregon Police took one 17-year-old male juvenile into limited custody for violating the curfew ordinance. The juvenile was released into his parent’s care with a referral to the State’s Attorney’s Office to review for juvenile delinquency. This violation occurred in the 100 block of S. 3rd Street.
Sept. 27
At 4:30 p.m., Oregon Police responded to a domestic battery call the 300 block of S. 6th Street resulting in the arrest of Devin S. Bailey, 36, Mt. Morris, for aggravated domestic battery, resisting a peace officer, and driving while license revoked. Bailey was also issued a civil citation for possession of cannabis less than 10 grams. Bailey was transported to the Ogle County jail.
Sept. 28
At 5:34 p.m., Oregon Police issued Jacob T. Hagemann, 20, Mt. Morris, citations for speeding, 46 mph in a 30 mph zone, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. These violations occurred in the 100 block of N. Daysville Road.
At 11:20 p.m., Oregon Police issued Joshua Williams, 37, Mt. Morris, a citation for operating a vehicle with no valid registration. This violation occurred in the 100 block of S. 4th Street.
Sept. 29
At 2:14 p.m., Oregon Police issued Hauer C. Williams, 18, Polo, a citation for unlawful window tint. This violation occurred in the 600 block of W. Washington Street.
