At 12:25 p.m., Oregon Police issued Madison E. Tomblin, 21, Rochelle, a citation for no valid driver’s license. This violation occurred in the 200 block of W. Washington Street.

Oct. 21

At 8:48 p.m., Oregon Police investigated a two-vehicle traffic crash in the 400 block of S. 3rd Street involving a 2006 Toyota driven by Jennifer J. Bridgeman, 40, Oregon, and a parked 2015 Lincoln belonging to Kristi M. Jones, 35, Dixon. No citations were issued.

Oct. 22

At 3:33 p.m., Oregon Police issued James M. Peterson, 61, of Machesney Park, a citation for speeding, 43mph in a 30mph zone. This violation occurred in the 400 block of N. 4th Street.

At 6:30 p.m., Oregon Police issued Michael L. Birdwell, 51, Oregon, citations for driving while license revoked and operating a vehicle not equipped with a BAIID when driver’s license so restricts. These violations occurred in the 700 block of Monroe Street.

Oct. 23

At 2:15 p.m., Oregon Police issued Christine M. Garrett, 48, Oregon, a citation for speeding, 47mph in a 30mph zone. This violation occurred near the 4th and Fair Street intersection.

Oct. 25

At 10:17 p.m., Oregon Police issued Rebecca A. Shoemaker, 34, Dixon, a citation for operating an uninsured motor vehicle. This violation occurred in the 100 block of N. 4th Street.

 

4 parking citations and 3 verbal/written warnings were issued from 10/21/19 through 10/27/19.

WINTER REMINDER: Parking on the street after a snowstorm:

Sec. 10-50.

(a) After a snowfall of one (1) inch or more has accumulated on the public streets the following rules will apply:

(1) Vehicles must be parked on the side of the street where the even-numbered building or house would be located between the hours of 7:00 a.m. on that day and 7:00 a.m. of the following day on even calendar days.

(2) Vehicles must be parked on that side of the street where odd-numbered building or house would be located between the hours of 7:00 a.m. that day and 7:00 a.m. of the following day on odd calendar days.

Any person who violates this subsection shall be fined thirty dollars ($30.00).

NOTE: These rules apply to the accumulation of snow, NOT if the snowplows are out.
