Oregon Police report 12-10-18

At 6 a.m., Oregon Police investigated a one-vehicle traffic crash at the intersection of 1st and Gale Streets where a 2006 International Plow driven by city of Oregon street department employee James R. Morris, slid into some wooden poles and in removal of the plow, several other poles were knocked over as well as damage done to the City plow. No citations were issued.

 

Nov. 30

At 12:40 p.m., Oregon Police issued Kira K. Guenzler, 34, Mt. Morris, a citation for passing a school bus while loading or unloading. This violation occurred in the 1100 block of Jefferson Street.

At 3:11 p.m., Oregon Police issued Manuel F. Rivera, 22, Rochelle, a citation for operating an uninsured motor vehicle. This violation occurred in the 600 block of W. Washington Street.

At 4:22 p.m., Oregon Police responded to a suspicious person call in the 700 block of Franklin Street resulting in issuing Daetrone J. Mosley, 23, Chicago, citations for operating a vehicle with expired registration plates and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. These violations occurred in the 700 block of Franklin Street.

At 4:30 p.m., Oregon Police investigated a two-vehicle traffic crash at the intersection of 4th and Jefferson Streets involving a 1998 Ford driven by Glenn E. Stroh, 89, Oregon, and a 2005 Dodge driven by David A. Rudis, age 47, Oregon. Stroh was issued a citation for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

At 9:28 p.m., Oregon Police issued Samantha L. Merrill, 16, Oregon, a citation for speeding, 37 mph in a 20 mph zone. This violation occurred in the area of 14th and Oregon Trail Road.

 

Dec. 1

At 1:53 a.m., Oregon Police responded to a disturbance in the 500 block of S. 2nd Street resulting in the arrest of John A. Hitchcock, 36, Oregon, for aggravated domestic battery. Hitchcock was transported to the Ogle County jail.

 

Dec. 2

At 1:12 a.m., Oregon Police was dispatched to a disturbance call at the intersection of 4th and Washington Streets resulting in the arrest of Melisa L. Carreno, 32, Oregon, for battery. Carreno was transported to the Ogle County jail.

At 10:30 a.m., Oregon Police investigated a hit and run traffic crash where a 2015 Dodge belonging to Antonio I. Welle, 22, Oregon, was struck by an unknown vehicle while parked in the South 3rd Street municipal parking lot.
