Oregon Police report 12-14-20

At 1:55 p.m., Oregon Police responded to the 300 block of Lover’s Lane for a two-vehicle traffic crash in the parking lot of the North Prairie Apartment complex involving a 2000 Mazda driven by Jacqueline K. Hollaway, 57, Oregon, and a parked 2008 Honda owned by Alexis R. Cooper, 23, Oregon. No citations were issued.

Nov. 17

At 11:16 a.m., Oregon Police issued Lavon S. Tallard, 62, Rockford, a citation for speeding, 50 mph in a 30 mph zone. This violation occurred in the 100 block of N. Daysville Road.

Nov. 19

At 3:22 p.m., Oregon Police arrested John W. Spaine, 55, Mt. Morris, for theft $500 and under. Spaine was transported to the Ogle County jail.

Nov. 20

At 5:53 a.m., Oregon Police responded to a car vs deer traffic crash in front of 93 S Daysville Road involving a 2016 Toyota driven by Deanna G. Kyker, 43, Oregon. No citations were issued.

At 6:05 a.m., Oregon Police responded to a disturbance call at 700 E. Washington Street resulting in the arrest of Anthony L. Young, 44, Oregon, for battery and disorderly conduct. Young was transported to the Ogle County jail.

PARKING AFTER 1 INCH OF SNOW -- ORDINANCE REMINDER:

  1. Parking on Street After Snowstorm:
  2. After a snowfall of one inch or more has accumulated on the public streets the following rules will apply:
  1. Vehicles must be parked on the side of the street where the even-numbered building or house would be located between the hours of 7:00 a.m. on that day and 7:00 a.m. of the following day on even calendar days.
    1. Vehicles must be parked on that side of the street where odd-numbered building or house would be located between the hours of 7:00 a.m. that day and 7:00 a.m. of the following day on odd calendar days.
    2. Any person who violates this paragraph J,1,c shall be fined per the fine schedule.

This ordinance is based on 1 inch of snowfall, not on whether the snowplows are out yet.
