April 24
At 12:45 p.m., Oregon Police investigated a two-vehicle traffic crash that occurred in the 300 block of W. Washington Street involving a 2017 Jeep driven by LaCinda S. Bunger, 63, Oregon, and a parked 2004 Cadillac belonging to Diana L. Klapp, 69, Stillman Valley. Bunger was issued a citation for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
April 25
At 5:19 p.m., Oregon Police responded to a two-vehicle traffic crash in the parking lot of lower Park West where a 2019 Freightliner school bus driven by David O. Engelbrecht, 71, Leaf River, struck a parked 2016 Nissan belonging to Paolo Carillo, age 41, Oregon. No citations were issued.
April 27
At 11:59 a.m., Oregon Police were called to Snyder’s Ace Hardware to investigate a retail theft. Following the investigation, Carlson W. Jones, 29, Mt. Morris, was taken into custody and charged with retail theft and left in the custody of the Ogle County corrections officers.

At 4:13 p.m., Oregon Police investigated a two-vehicle traffic crash in the 500 block of W. Washington Street involving a 2015 Honda driven by Pamela J. Tauch, 55, Oregon, and a 2006 Honda driven by Keshon M. Reed, age 16, Mt. Morris. No citations were issued.
May 1
At 11:35 a.m., Oregon Police investigated a two-vehicle traffic crash at the intersection of W. Washington St. and Oregon Trail Rd. involving a 2006 Volkswagen driven by Cara M. Mitreanu, age 23, of Willowbrook, IL, and a 2014 Dodge driven by Alexander L. Pierce, 23, Oregon. Mitreanu was issued a citation for disobeying a traffic control device.
At 8:45 p.m., Oregon Police issued Jessica L. Murphy, 29, Oregon, a citation for speeding, 45 mph in a 30 mph zone. This violation occurred in the 600 block of N. 4th Street.
May 2
At 3:30 p.m., Oregon Police issued C. Matthew Christensen, 40, Oregon, a citation for disobeying a school crossing guard. This violation occurred at the intersection of Jefferson and S. 4th Streets.
May 3
At 8:39 a.m., Oregon Police issued Jacob D. Milliman, 17, Oregon, a citation for screeching/squealing tires. This violation occurred in the Blackhawk parking lot in the 1000 block of Jefferson Street.
At 8:48 p.m., Oregon Police issued Lorri C. Palmer, 64, Oregon, a citation for no valid driver’s license. This violation occurred in the 100 block of S. 4th Street.
At 9:40 p.m., Oregon Police issued Caitlin A. Johnson, 26, Freeport, citations for operating a vehicle with an expired registration and no valid driver’s license. These violations occurred in the 700 block of W. Washington Street.
May 4
At 9:51 p.m., Oregon Police arrested Jason B. Pasqueno, 22, Rockford, on an outstanding Rockford Police Department warrant for failure to appear. Pasqueno was also issued a citation for operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Pasqueno was transported to the Ogle County jail. This violation occurred in the 100 block of S. 4th Street.
May 5
At 12:58 a.m., Oregon Police arrested Caylee J. Toepfer, 21, Stillman Valley, for driving under the influence of alcohol and driving under the influence of alcohol with blood alcohol content greater than .08%. Toepfer was also issued citations for speeding, 53 mph in a 40 mph zone, and improper lane usage. Toepfer was transported to the Ogle County jail. These violations occurred in the 1500 block of N. IL Route 2.
At 10:12 p.m., Oregon Police arrested Jesse W. Galvan, 32, Sterling, on an outstanding Ogle County warrant for failure to appear on a weapons offense. Galvan was transported to the Ogle County jail.
