At 9:09 a.m., Oregon Police responded to a two-vehicle traffic crash at the intersection of 5th and Webster Streets involving a 2014 Ford driven by Robert J. Wilson, Jr., 73, Oregon, and a 2019 Buick driven by Johnie E. Mudge, age 70, Oregon. Wilson was issued a citation for failure to yield.
At 9:41 p.m., Oregon Police issued Richard E. Sheidler, 74, Mt. Morris, a citation for operating in violation of restriction. This violation occurred in the 1000 block of W. Washington Street.
June 30
At 4:50 a.m., Oregon Police arrested Tobias M. Whetsel, 38, Oregon, on an outstanding Ogle County warrant for petition to revoke probation. Whetsel was transported to the Ogle County jail.
July 1
At 7:42 p.m., Oregon Police investigated a two-vehicle traffic crash in the 100 block of N. 4th Street involving a 2013 Chevrolet driven by Dale G. Grote, Jr., 73, Chana, and a parked 2017 Jeep belonging to Dyan L. Mowry, 45, Oregon. Grote was issued citations for improper backing, and failure to give information after striking an unattended vehicle.
July 2
At 10:30 a.m., Oregon Police investigated a two-vehicle traffic crash at 401 S. 4th Street involving a 2019 Dodge driven by Elizza L. Easley, 17, Oregon, and a parked 2018 Ford owned by the City of Oregon Water Department. No citations were issued.
July 3
At 2:42 p.m., Oregon Police issued Charlotte M. Hinds, 26, Mount Morris, a citation for driving while license suspended. This violation occurred in the 1000 block of Pines Road.
July 4
At 4:13 p.m., Oregon Police issued Tomasz D. Kowalski, 40, of Norridge, IL, a citation for speeding, 55 mph in a 35 mph zone. This violation occurred in the 1300 block of Pines Road.
At 8:36 p.m., Oregon Police issued Richard W. Wiesner, Jr., 51, Oregon, a citation for disobeying a traffic control device. This violation occurred at the intersection of N. 3rd and Franklin Streets.
At 9:30 p.m., Oregon Police issued Alyssa M. Trotter, 27, Polo, citations for improper lane usage and failure to properly secure a child under age 8 in an appropriate restraint system. These violations occurred at the intersection of W. Washington and Illinois Streets.
At 11:00 p.m., Oregon Police arrested Christine M. McCaslin, 60, Oregon, for theft over $500 that had occurred earlier in the evening at the Oregon Laundromat located at 210 S. 4th Street. McCaslin was transported to the Ogle County jail.
July 5
At 12:15 p.m., Oregon Police issued William W. Storms, 71, Sterling, a citation for speeding, 54 mph in a 35 mph zone. This violation occurred in the 1300 block of Pines Road.
