Ardis Printz

Ardis Printz, 84, of Baileyville, Ill., passed away Friday May 21, 2021 in her home surrounded by her family. She was born Sept. 22, 1936 in Forreston, the daughter of Klaas and Mable (Welp) Bocker.  

On Nov. 27, 1954 she married Rexford Printz Jr. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lanark. Ardis was a homemaker and waitress at Junction 64 and 26 Truckstop. She was a member of St. James Lutheran Church ELCA in Forreston. Ardis enjoyed mowing the lawn, farming, coffee with friends, shopping and most importantly spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids.

She is survived by her husband Rex; son Michael (significant other Susan) Printz; two daughters Lorie (Dennis) Hazel of Mt. Vernon, Ill., and Julie (significant other Jeff) Langholf of Baileyville, Ill.; two siblings Marlene Witmer of Mt. Morris, and Audrey (Rick) Stukenburg of Forreston; eight grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brother and sister-in-law Gary and Judy Bocker, son-in-law Jim Langholf; grandson Joshua Langholf and brother-in-law Brad Witmer.  

A visitation was held from 1-2 p.m.. Monday May 24, 2021 at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home in Freeport. A graveside service followed at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. A memorial has been established for St. James Lutheran Church in Forreston.
