BYRON – Dale E. Fuller, 69, longtime Byron resident, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Monday, April 19, 2021. Born Feb. 19, 1952 in Reedsburg, Wis., the son of Ted and Rosalie (Schyvinck) Fuller.

Married Diane Walker on March 8, 1975 in Rockford. Dale was a graduate of Rockford East High School and a member of Laborers’ Local #32. He retired in 2011 as an Underground Superintendent from Rockford Blacktop/William Charles Construction in Loves Park after 39 years of employment. Dale enjoyed traveling, working in the yard, spending time with his family and attending his grandkids’ sporting events.

Survived by his loving wife and best friend of 46 years, Diane Fuller of Byron; sons, Eric (Felecia) Fuller of Byron, Adam (Jess) Fuller of Byron and Dustin (Alison) Fuller of Machesney Park; loving Papa to Addie, Aubrie, Evan, Brinley, Beckham, Tristan and Makenzie; sisters, Brenda (Jim) Kubasta of Winneconne, Wis., and Vicki Needham of Foley, Ala.; sisters -in-law, Peggy Fuller, Connie (Ed) White and Linda (Mike) Austin; and brother-in-law, Jim (Tina) Walker.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Richard Fuller; and brothers-in-law, Charlie McCarty, Chris Needham and Gary Walker. 

A walk-through visitation for family and friends took place from 5-7 p.m. Friday, April 23 in Farrell-Holland-Gale Funeral Home, Stillman Valley. Social distancing and mask wearing guidelines are to be followed. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the family. A Celebration of Life for Dale will also be held Thursday, July 22 from 4-8 p.m. at Prairie View Golf Course Pavilion.
