BYRON – Debbie A. Sochor, age 59, died Sunday, July 18, 2021 at Javon Bea Hospital in Rockford. She was born Nov. 14, 1961 in Chicago, the daughter of Rudolph “Rudy” and Elizabeth “Liz” (Kearns) Guttman.
She attended Notre Dame High School for Girls in Chicago. She married Guy Sochor on June 5, 1999 in Oregon. Debbie enjoyed reading, web design, gaming, computers, anime, British and Korean tv series, horror movies of all types, and was an avid music fan.
She was predeceased by her parents Rudy and Liz Guttman, and brother Mark Guttman.
She is survived by her husband Guy Sochor of Byron, 4 children; Heather (Brock) Swanlund of Mt. Morris, Tom Buzinski, Joe Buzinski, and Chris Buzinski all of Byron, brother Vernon (Darla) Guttman of Arkansas; 5 grandchildren Brock, Darian, and Autumn Swanlund, Rowan and Vincent Ditmars.
Visitation was 1-2 p.m., Friday, July 23, 2021, with Funeral service immediately following, at the Farrell-Holland-Gale Funeral Home, 506 W. Merchant Street in Byron, with the Pastor Randy Snider officiating. A memorial fund is established in Debbie’s name for the Shriner’s Children’s Hospital in Chicago.
