POLO – Edward A. Schnulle Jr., age 94, passed away on Thursday April 1, 2021 in Serenity Hospice and Home, Oregon. Ed was born on June 15, 1926 in Lincoln Township, Ill., the son of Edward A. and Mae E. (Watts) Schnulle. He graduated from Polo High School. Ed married Marian Wessels on December 31, 1950 in Sterling.
Ed farmed in Polo Area all his life. Ed served on the Lincoln Township, Ogle County Board, and the St. Mark’s Lutheran Church Council.
Ed is survived by his wife: Marian Schnulle for 70 years; daughters: Marilyn (Don) Nelson, Polo, Marcia (Joe) Flessner, Amboy, and Marlys (Robert) Carpenter, Milledgeville; sister: Harriet Dambman, Milledgeville; 10 grandchildren: Ryan (Robyn) Nelson, Renee (Mark) Boyle, Lori (Josh) Christen, Kimberly (Nick) Mumm, Kayla (BJ) Payne, Kelly (Gage) Borchelt, Derek (Katie) Flessner, Bridget (John) Newcomer, Steven (Samantha) Blake, and Ralph Carpenter; 15 great grandchildren: Natalie, Logan, Samantha, Kendall, Lexi, Jeremiah, Laney, Gage, Abel, Blake, Teddy, Emma, Beau, Aspen, and Easton.
Ed is preceded in death by his parents.
Private family funeral services are being held in St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Polo, with Pastor Terrie Wilder officiating. Burial will be held in Oakwood Cemetery, Mt. Morris.
