CHANA – Florence Carolyn Sue Wilson, 76, of Chana, passed away on Nov. 21, 2020. Born Aug. 14, 1944 in Essex, Mo., the daughter of Edgar E. and Helen M. (Campbell) Grace. Carolyn was married to Michael Wilson in 1980; he predeceased her in 2016. She was a loving mother, wife, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to many. She enjoyed spending time with family, writing poetry, watching birds, listening to music, reading, playing Scrabble and making people smile. She was always there to lend an ear any time you needed someone to talk to.
Survived by her children, Alena (Douglas) Abrahamson of Pecatonica, Roger Strouse of Paragould, Ark., Terry (Crystal) Trostel of Doniphan, Mo., Carla Turner of Doniphan, Mo., Tony (Linda) Trostel of Doniphan, Mo., Dora (Kurt) Parker of Winfield, M0., and Michele Audrain of St. Louis, Mo.; grandchildren, Erin (Nick), Emily, Danie (Brandon), Lane, Michael (Amy), Bailie (Jordan), Alexis, Briana, Cassie (Kalan), Dana (John), Cory, Cidney, Alex, Meagan, Katelyn, Mackenzie, Kylee, and Dijana; 17 great-grandchildren; sister, Donna Short of Poplar Bluff, MO; and special caregiver, Kelsey.
Also, predeceased by her grandson, Christopher Abrahamson; siblings, Bill Grace, Bob Grace, Thelma Henderson, and Debra Adkins; and son-in-law, DeWayne Turner.
Family burial will be held in the spring in Doniphan, Mo. with a Celebration of Life to follow.
