Jerry Alfred Hanna


DAVIS JUNCTION – Jerry Alfred Hanna, age 75, died Saturday, Sept. 28, 2019 at his home in Davis Junction surrounded by his family. He was born August 10, 1944 in Kennett, Mo., the son of Alfred and Thelma (Head) Hanna.

He graduated from Auburn High School in Rockford in 1962. He married Patricia Ball on Nov. 2, 1963 at the Second General Baptist Church in Rockford. Jerry formerly worked for Galger Engineering and Cherry Valley Tool and Machine before becoming owner and operator in 1982 of Roll-Rite Inc. Spent many hours with other interests; small time farming, trail riding, boating, and special interest flying his airplane. He enjoyed watching all his kids and grandkids doing what they love. His greatest blessings were spending time with family.

He was predeceased by his parents and an infant son David.

He is survived by his wife Patricia of 55 years, his 4 children; Richard (Kimberlee) Hanna of Stillman Valley, Robert (Krista) Hanna of Davis Junction, Heather (Donald) Wallin of Davis Junction, and Russell (Sarah) Hanna of Stillman Valley, 12 grandchildren; Brent, Blake, Hanna, Hope, Harleigh, Jakob, Ryan, Hynlee, Nolan, Samuel, Josephine, and Saylor, 2 sisters; Dorothy (Robert) Steele and Margaret Lind both of Rockford and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service was at 10 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 3, 2019 at the Kishwaukee Community Evangelical Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Dale Bates and Rev. Eric Tonjes co-officiating. Burial at the Kishwaukee Cemetery. Visitation was at the church Wednesday evening from 5-8 p.m. A memorial fund is established in Jerry’s name. Visit to leave a condolence.
