Juanita Lavon Irving

Juanita Lavon Irving died on Oct. 24, 2021 in Byron, Illinois with family present. She was born Nov. 26, 1934, in Oregon, she was the daughter of Harold and Leila Eshbaugh.

She married Robert L. Irving on Aug. 16, 1952 at the Lighthouse Church near Oregon. Juanita graduated from Oregon High School. She was a homemaker and raised 7 children. She was active in keeping up with friends and family through class reunions, her church, and in long standing friendships. She enjoyed hosting large family gatherings, with as many children and grandchildren attending as possible. Juanita loved all things “old” and was an avid antique collector. She loved hunting for “primitives” to add to her collection. She followed the history of the Bemis family, of which she descended.  Juanita was a member of New Life Assembly, helping with funeral lunches and attending services regularly. 

She is survived by 4 adult children, Gary Irving, Oregon, Cindy Frantz of  Rockford, Joseph (Angela) Irving of Beloit, Wis., and Jeremy Irving (Polo); 15 grandchildren, Shelly (Peter) Mataykea, Robert (Meni) Irving, Sarah Irving, Cory (Travis) Livingood, Jason  and Jennifer Irving, Teri (Paul) Unrath, Stacey Antoine, Tom Losey, Michael and Travis Frantz, Elizabeth Irving, Abigail (Sam) Krueger, and Virginia and Kenny Irving; 17 great grandchildren; and a brother Harold Bemis (Jan) Eshbaugh of Arizona.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert L. Irving, two sons, Robert and William, a daughter Kathy Hines, a granddaughter Brianna Hines and a great grandson Steven Unrath.
