OREGON – Marilyn Sue Burright, 75, lifelong resident of Pine Creek, died Thursday, Sept. 12, 2019 in Oregon Living & Rehabilitation Center. Born Jan. 12, 1944 in Dixon, the daughter of Leonard and Geraldine (Graf) Warner.
Married to David Burright June 9, 1962 in Oregon. Marilyn attended Oregon schools grades 1-12 and Sauk Valley College. She worked as a playground supervisor at Nash School and a teacher's aide for special education and also employed at Wood's Equipment and McCanse Engineering. Marilyn volunteered at Village of Progress in Oregon and enjoyed tennis, bowling, family travel, working with children and the Chicago Cubs.
Survived by her husband, David Burright of Oregon; son, Mike (Kathy) Burright of Oregon; grandchildren: Brent Michael (Cassie) Burright, Joshua David Burright and Ted Gesin Justin Rude and Jenna Rude; 3 great granddaughters; and brother, Ronald Warner of DeKalb.
Predeceased by her parents and daughter, Debra K. Burright.
Funeral services were held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17 in Farrell-Holland-Gale Funeral Home, Oregon preceded by a visitation beginning at 10 a.m. Pastor Charlotte Hoppe of Pine Creek Christian Church officiated. Burial in Riverview Cemetery, Oregon. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Marilyn's name may be made to Shriners Children's Hospital.
