Megan “BooBoo” Kristine Behn, 37 of Byron, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday morning Feb. 2. Megan was born Oct. 2, 1984 to Curt and Kris Hagemann of Stillman Valley.
Megan met the love of her life Ryan Behn of Winnebago whom she married Sept. 2, 2006. They had known each other their entire lives, but little did they know when they reconnected in 2003 it would lead to 15 years of marriage and their proudest accomplishments in life, her three beautiful children, Carsen (16), Case (12), and Lyzah (10). Megan was a fiercely dedicated mother to all of her children that she loved with everything she had. She was their biggest cheerleader, loudest supporter and the proudest mom. Her favorite things in life were watching her oldest son Carsen on the football field and wrestling mat, you always knew she was there because she was his loudest supporter. She admired most the humble and responsible young man he is growing to be. Megan loved hearing about Case’s next adventure. Hearing what he may have broke just to fix again, what he built or created to be helpful around the house and most importantly his love and concern he gave to her with a simple hug. Lyzah brought so much joy to her life, she looked forward to the endless girls days they spent together, whether it was getting their nails done, shopping at target, going out to lunch, doing puzzles together and snuggling with all their pets. Her family came first and above all else to Megan a value she instilled in her kids and all those around her.
Megan loved a good weekend trip with Ryan to Lambeau Field to support her Green Bay Packers, whether to watch them play, spend all the money at the pro shop or simply be in the presence of the frozen tundra. Megan looked forward to family vacations, her greatest memories and places on earth are those from the North woods, Mexico, Florida and Georgia, spent with those she loved most, Ryan and her kids. Girls days spent with her mom and sisters would end with laughs and stories she would tell for years, and those that knew Megan knew she could tell a good story and had the best laugh in the world. On any given day you could find her shopping at target, reading a good book, putting together a puzzle, or spending time with her dogs.
Megan is survived by her husband Ryan; three children Carsen, Case and Lyzah; her parents Curt and Kris Hagemann; her sisters Morgan (Matt) McCartney, Mikah (Zach) Diehl; Nieces and Nephews Macklin and Beaux (McCartney), Walker and Burke (Diehl).
