STILLMAN VALLEY – Muriel “Jean” Williams, 91, Stillman Valley, passed away Monday, Aug. 24, 2020, in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born Aug. 31, 1928, in Rockford, the daughter of Clarence “Curly” and Meryl (Palmer) Lundberg.
Jean married Raymond “Warren” Williams in New Milford on Aug. 29, 1954. He passed away on May 30, 2000. She worked as an auditor at Howard Johnsons for 13 years. Jean was an active member of Monroe Community Church for many years. She belonged to a potluck group that met each month for many years until just a couple of years ago. Jean and a friend coached a boy’s baseball team in the Sandy Koufax and Mickey Mantle league for many years. The family would like to thank Heartland Hospice for their kind and compassionate care.
Survived by her daughter, Bonnie (Larry) Shields; her sons, Jay (Geisha) Williams, and Bruce Williams; her grandchildren, Lauri (Mike) Connelly, Brian (Amy) Shields, Annie and Carolyn Williams; her great-grandchildren, Hazel and Lainey Shields; her sister, Kathryn Brady; many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her husband Warren, her brother and sister-in-law, Bill (Marilyn) Lundberg, her daughter-in-law, Dawn Williams, and her brother-in-law, Richard Brady.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 28, 2020, at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. Entombment at Sunset Memorial Gardens Chapel of Love.
