MOUNT MORRIS – Pauline Vivian Stengel, age 101, passed away on Friday, Nov. 19, 2021 in Oregon Living & Rehab center, Oregon. Pauline was born on March 13, 1920 in rural Polo; the daughter of Clarence and Edith Amanda (Carptenter) Hammer. She graduated from Polo High School. Pauline married Myron Stengel on April 29, 1944 in Polo. Pauline worked at Kable News Company and she worked the family farm.
Pauline was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Mt. Morris. She loved to pray, work outdoors, and read; she was a kind person who loved to talk with others, but most of all she was a quiet person.
Pauline is survived by daughter: Nancy (Marvin) Edler, rural Pearl City; Son Larry (Avolene) Stengel, rural Mt. Morris; daughter in law: Carol Stengel; grandchildren: Lance, Josh, and Heather; 1 step-grandson: Howie; and 7 great grandchildren; sister in law: Gerri Hammer.
Pauline is preceded in death by her parents; husband: Myron; son: Robert; brothers: Glenn and Russell; half-sisters: Valdene and Grace; and sister in law: Beverly.
Funeral services will be held in West Grove Cemetery.
