STILLMAN VALLEY — The Stillman Valley High School varsity girls soccer team won the IHSA 1A Stillman Valley Regional Championship on Tuesday evening. The Cardinals opened the tournament with a 9-0 win over Rockford Lutheran on Friday, May 10 before defeating Rockford Christian 3-2 on Tuesday to clinch the regional crown. Stillman Valley is now 17-4 overall this season.
The team includes Sada Hughes, Kaera Ackerson, Kylie Lewis, Charlee Jordan, Emelia Winstead, Avery Britnell, Payge Barger, Josselyn Sandoval, Valynzzia Correa, Zoe Zinke, Kate Costello, Olivia Voltz, Aubrey Janoski, Zoe Larson, Grace Costello, Amelia Dunseth, Esme Kreml, Elise Lundine, Maddie Shaw, Cynthia Estrada-Rodriguez, Brisa Lopez and Harleigh Wallin. The team is coached by Erin McMaster and Brian Frank.
