POLO – Roger R. Burkholder, age 74, passed away on Monday, Dec. 23, 2019 from natural causes. He was born on Jan. 31, 1945 in Dixon, IL to Fay and Kathryn (Rogers) Burkholder.
Roger was a lifelong resident of Polo, where he farmed all of his life. He owned a riding stable, a dairy farm and later bought and sold livestock which took him all over the country. He had a nickname for everyone and an uncanny ability to memorize numbers.
He enjoyed horses, county fairs, trail rides, dancing, cooking, camping and fishing with friends and family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Rhonda Burkholder and brother Arlyn Burkholder.
He is survived by his daughters Jennifer Burkholder of Byron, and Silvia Duncan of Mansfield, Texas; sister Shirley Campbell of Alexis, Ill.
