Ronald Leonard Warner, 79, of DeKalb, passed away Saturday, Feb. 27, 2021, at DeKalb County Nursing Home.

Born Sept. 7, 1941 in Oregon, the son of Leonard and Geraldine Warner. Ron married Eleanor J. Warner on May 21, 1998 in DeKalb.

Ron served in the National Guard and worked at Del Monte, Cavel and Farmed in Oregon. He was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs, the Chicago Bulls and the Chicago Bears.

He is survived by his sons, Roger (Julie) Warner and Brett (Lindsay) Galindo; daughters, Pam Taylor and Peggy McGinnis; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a nephew.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Marilyn Burright; wife, Eleanor Warner; and son, Terry Warner.

A private visitation was from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Friday, March 5, 2021, at Anderson Funeral Home in DeKalb. A private family funeral service followed and burial at Highland Gardens of Memories, in Belvidere.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, masks and social distancing will be required at both Visitation and Funeral Service.
