Scott Gordon

Scott Gordon went home to be with Jesus on March 20, 2021. He was born on Jan. 9, 1957 in the suburbs of Chicago.

After 35 years, Scott retired from the Exelon Nuclear Power Company. He loved Golf and Kentucy Basketball. Scott was a faithful Christian who loved and trusted God. Scott was larger than life and the kind of guy who loved to engage in conversation and enjoyed telling stories, his laugh was infectious. His knowledge of history and sports was an obvious passion.
He was proceeded in death by his parents Norman and Peggy Gordon. Family: Wife Lauren, Sisters: Donna (Ken Fetgatter), Melody (Terry Baney), Judy Sharke, Nephew: Ryan (Sam), Nieces: Courtney (Miguel), Ashley (Greg), Alyson (Vernon) and Meghan (Justin).
Scott was an amazing husband and life partner. Scott loved his family and friends dearly, but just to many to list. His work, golf and bible study friends meant the world him. Thank you to all of you who continuously called and prayed over him during his walk away from cancer (Tammy Lorence, Marie, Jeff Schweiger and Pastor Ken Hanson-Our Life Church Pastor). A special and loving thank you to Dr. Linda Razboudowski for her above and beyond medical treatment and delivery of Nana’s hotdogs.

A testimony to God’s love:
For several months, Scott was blessed with minimal pain (no pain drugs). The Lord chose the middle of the most beautiful day to take him home. And finally, Scott was surrounded by the people he loved during his final moments as God reached down to carry him off in the most gentle way possible.

A “celebration of Life” gathering will be planned for a future date.

In lieu of flowers or gifts, please consider a donation to Life church in Roscoe Illinois. This church has an ongoing food pantry at two locations twice a week. They are truly a generous community driven church.
Speaking of food .... another option: Jubilee Farms in Clinton, Ill. This beautiful nonprofit farm provides clean and organic food to the surrounding communities.
