United States Marine Corporal (E-4) Vance Jay Reiniche, age 60 of Byron, IL passed away Sunday February 23, 2020 at his home.

Born to his loving mother, Alta Mae and father Marvin Reiniche, Vance was a man of many trades. Vance spent much of his younger years working for Barry’s livestock, working cattle in the stockyards and breaking and training horses. From 1976 to 1982 he spent time in the Marine Corps as a heavy equipment operator and mechanic. With completion of his service he diversified his talents anywhere from running a mechanic shop, bartending, ranching, carpentry and in his later years, a full-time mechanic at R&R Auto and Diesel Repair. Vance loved spending time with his family and friends and was an avid Chicago Bears fan.

Preceded in death by his mom, Alta Mae McCoy; father, Marvin Harold Reiniche and eldest brother, Randy (Pat) Reiniche.

Survived by and a loving brother to Cindy (Ron) Jennings; Todd Reiniche. Former husband and cherished friend to Donna (Steve) Brown. Proud father to Dana (Luke) Reiniche, Jake Reiniche, Chad (Megan) Reiniche. Adoring grandfather to Jayda, Brooke, Jack, Nash, Lane, Wade, Leena and Mason. Further survived by nieces and nephews Angel and Chris, Todd and Mandy, Tricia and Brad, Hope and Jason, Kodi and Shane; way too many friends to list.

Vance will never be forgotten. One charming, good looking man (he would have told you himself), always standing up for the underdog and never tolerating ignorance in a man.
