SYCAMORE — The Byron High School boys track and field team qualified two individuals for the IHSA State Championships this season. The IHSA 2A Sycamore Sectional was held on Thursday, May 16, where Sam Gentz finished fifth in the shot put with a heave of 14.92 meters and Tim Starwalt finished fifth in the 1600-meter run with a time of 4:30.05.
