Roberts Armory World War II Museum will be open to the public on Memorial Day, Monday, May 26 from 1-4 p.m.

The White Pines Lodge welcomes “Catch The Twain: The Musical” for three matinee shows at the Dinner Theater on June 10, 11 and 12. The theater is located at 6712 W. Pines Road.

In a quiet corner of Illinois, a bright light shines in the form of Xiang Yi Chen, a high school senior whose remarkable journey from China, to Byron is as inspiring as it is heartfelt. This year, Xiang Yi (pronounced shī-YEE) celebrates not just her upcoming high school graduation and her selection as a recipient of the prestigious P.E.O. STAR Scholarship, but also a deeply personal milestone: becoming a U.S. citizen.

The Stillman Valley Ag. Mechanics Team sent five students to the state competition to compete as a team as well as five individual trades. As a whole the team scored 90 points out of 100 earning them third place out of 20 participants.

On April 26, youth across the country marked National 4-H Day of Service by giving back to their communities, and the Ogle County 4-H Ambassadors were no exception.
